Is a personal trainer worth 7000 a year?

So are personal trainers worth about 7000 dollars for a whole year? is this a good deal or is it ridiculous? I have to do a 2000 opening fee before i even start working with the trainer. Is there any cheaper way to get fast results like only working with a trainer would do? I am 290 pounds and i want to go down to 160 preferably within the next year and a half, i'm sick of being the big girl! But i'm really tight on the money, if i can rake in the 2000 dollars for the first fee and then 280 approximately a month do you think it's worth it or could i do the same as the Trainer could do? How could i do that? Any diet tips or workout plans? Anyone out there a personal trainer? I'd love to get one i just would be putting myself on the line trying to afford it.Is a personal trainer worth 7000 a year?
Personal Trainer are so NOT worth it. The only benefit of a personal trainer is he/she is there to encourage and push you. Within 5 minutes research on Google or youtube, you'll find a variety of exercising packages for free. The trainers are basically teaching you what you are finding on the net. It is such a waste paying them $50-80/hr, for them just to stand beside you with a clip board and record your progress.



You should start walking in the mornings and after meals, then run, after you are below say 200lbs, hit the gym and research some exercise beforehand. OR, just buy some exercising videos, and follow along. Hiring a personal trainer doesn't mean you'll make more progress than doing it on your on...it is about determination.Is a personal trainer worth 7000 a year?
You are starting at the wrong angle - visit you doctor and tell him you'd like to lose

weight - he decides how much weight should be lost at intervals - at your weight

you need to have this medical advice on a regular basis for ANY exercise you do

as it can and will affect your heart rhythm and could be dangerous -he can

suggest places that you may be able to lose the weight and be monitored at

the same time - -personal trainer on a limited budget is ridiculous.
